                 The common belief  is that Italians invented the pizza around 6th century B.C,however the origin go back to the ancient times.The Babylonians,Israelites,Egyptians and other middle eastern cultures were eating flat,unleaven bread that had been cooked in mud oven.The ancient Mediterranean peoples like Greeks,Romans were eating the bread,topped seasoned with oliveoil and native spices.Beginning of the 1900,pizza made its way to united states,especially Newyork and Chicago,due to those cities having large Italian population.Today pizza has become very popular in most recent origins and it is considered an Italian dish.     
                  There are four ingredients that can make pizza.The crust,the sauce,cheese and toppings.The crush should be wheat flour or  bleached flour and it should be baked in oven before or after toppings placed on it.The sauce should be tomato based or seasoned to taste with spices and herbs and sometimes meat can be added to make a meat sauce and make it harder to spread evenly.Cheese involves in good taste of the pizza.The cheeses of choices are mozzarella and other cheeses also used such as Asiago,provolone,ricotta,romano and parmigiano.The cheese is spreaded on top of the pizza immediately after the sauce is layered.Toppings always included with cheese that might be a number of different vegetables,meats or combination of both.
            If we eat pizza,we get 287 calories,sodium 558mg,fat 11g,carbohydrates 34g,cholesterol 18mg,protein 13g,fiber 2g.Choose a lower fat topping such as vegetables,ham,fish or prawns,instead of pepperoni,salami or extra cheese to avoid weight gain due to fatty contents.High saturated food can increase the level of cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease.Saturated fat is a kind of fat found in butter,cheese  and cream, lard,pies,fatty cuts of meats,sausages,bacons.
